Training Manager - INFRATECH

Training Manager: 

This position reports to the Director of Safety and Training and is responsible for improving the productivity of the organization’s employees. This position assesses company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions for employees. This position will create and implement training programs that are effective in educating and enhancing the performance of employees.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop training and development programs and objectives and propose new programs as needed.
  • Obtain and/or develop effective training materials utilizing a variety of media.
  • Plan, organize, facilitate and order supplies for employee development and training events.
  • Train and coach managers, supervisors and others involved in employee development efforts.
  • Conduct follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.
  • Exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
  • Deliver training in traditional, alternative, and blended learning approaches.
  • This position requires up to 70% travel.

Experience:

  • Utility Line experience required, Journeyman Certification preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, or a suitable experience
  • Experience training a overhead and underground distribution work practices, as well as general construction work practices
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Strong Leadership Skills.
  • Must be a Team Player.
  • Ability to develop and strengthen business relationships.
  • Must be comfortable traveling with Contract Representatives to Customer Visits.
  • Must have advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs.
